LOG-0024
On Building in Silence

Three months without a public update. Not because nothing happened — because too much did. Two experiments terminated. One bifurcated into something unrecognizable from its origin. One that was supposed to take two weeks is now approaching month four and I don't think that's a problem anymore.

There's a particular kind of pressure that comes from building in public. You start optimizing for the update rather than the work. Silence, I've found, is a form of discipline — not avoidance, but refusal to narrate before there's something worth narrating.

SUBJECT-7: What Went Wrong (And Right)

The first iteration of SUBJECT-7 ran for eleven days before I killed it. Not because it failed, but because it succeeded in completely the wrong direction. This is what the second attempt learned from the first.

LOG-0022
The 11pm Principle

Every good idea I've had at the lab arrived after 11pm. This is not a boast about work ethic — it's an observation about when the filter comes down. Late at night, the sensible objections run out of energy before the ideas do.

LOG-0021
LITMUS: First Run Results

Put LITMUS through its first real test using four ideas I'd been sitting on for months. The results were uncomfortable. Two of the ideas I thought were strong failed immediately. One I'd dismissed entirely passed every constraint. I'm not sure what to do with that yet.

LOG-0020
Year-End Inventory

Seven experiments initiated. Three terminated. One shipped. One suspended pending reconsideration. One bifurcated into two. One still classified. The ratio of attempts to completions is discouraging if you're measuring the wrong thing.

LOG-0019
HOLLOW: Autopsy of a Suspended Experiment

HOLLOW was supposed to be a spatial audio experience. The Web Audio API had other plans. A full accounting of every limitation I ran into, what I tried, what didn't work, and why I chose suspension over deletion.
